摘要: Strains of Thermus silvanus sp. nov. and strains chliarophilus were isolated from the hot spring at Vizela in northern Portugal Alcafache central Portugal, respectively. The T. produce orange-red-pigmented colonies have an optimum growth temperature about 55°C, while yellow-pigmented 50°C. both species are catalase negative. These can be distinguished each other ruber by biochemical characteristics, fatty acid composition data, 16S rRNA gene sequence data. Our phylogenetic analysis showed that VI-R2T (T = type strain) ALT-8T belong to line descent. strain is VI-R2 (= DSM 9946), ALT-8 9957).
