摘要: Abstract Four species of food-contaminating mites have recently been reported to caused IgE-mediated allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, in persons who consumed mite-contaminated foods. The mite are the American house dust mite, Dermatophagoides farinae Hughes (Acarina: Pyroglyphidae); scaly grain Suidasia sp. prob. pontifica Oudemans Suidasiidae), an acarid Thyreophagus entomophagus Portus & Gomez Acaridae); and mold Tyrophagus putrescentiae (Schrank) Acaridae).
