摘要: Abstract The technological advances achieved in recent decades have allowed to obtain cast parts of ductile iron with no metallurgical defects and complex shapes dimensions very close the final ones. Heat treatments enabled ADI within a wide range mechanical properties. After properly choosing processing variables, most suitable combination strength toughness can be attained for each application. When restrictive dimensional or shape accuracy is required, high precision machining process, such as grinding, used. This process induces significant temperature gradients surface plastic deformations which could affect characteristics. aim this paper analyze effects grinding on power consumption, characteristics, roughness distortion plates grade 2 5. results indicate that it possible achieve excellent finishes moderate consumption low residual stresses distortions.
