摘要: The author presents a theoretic framework for understanding racism on 3 levels: institutionalized, personally mediated, and internalized. This is useful raising new hypotheses about the basis of race-associated differences in health outcomes, as well designing effective interventions to eliminate those differences. She then an allegory gardener with 2 flower boxes, rich poor soil, red pink flowers. illustrates relationship between levels may guide our thinking how intervene mitigate impacts health. It also serve tool starting national conversation racism.
