摘要: Experimental facts about appearance of new crystalline phases at low temperature related to deuterium substitution are collected and mechanisms the isotope effect discussed. Compounds considered (i) tri-alkali hydrogen selenates sulphates, (ii) ammonium hexachlorometallates, (iii) bromo- iodo-hydroxyphenalenone (iv) chromium dioxide. In (i), (iv), linear O-H-O bonds involved. Proton tunnelling is likely mechanism peculiar phase behaviour (i). Definitely plays an essential role in but not extreme situation (iv). (ii), rotational ion ingredient deuteration-induced transitions. The term proton cloud introduced describe quantum mechanical distribution nucleus bond multi-valley potential for ion.
