Analysis of international competitive positioning of quality wine from Spain

摘要: The global vitiviniculture sector is undergoing systemic and thorough changes. Spain occupies a privileged position in the industry, ranking first surface area, third production second export volume. In recent years, domestic consumption has experienced clear pronounced decline, as observed France Italy. Therefore, exportation become main commercial avenue for table quality wine. Spain, designated wine represents 50% of total dynamics international markets that differ from those affecting object this paper to analyze factors influencing competitiveness wine, represented by designations origin, markets. After defining index, adapted Balassa using environmental internal variables, three panel data models most representative Designations were specified 2000/2001 2009/2010 seasons. results demonstrated variables more influential explaining weak competitive positioning poorer performing Designations. European regulations resulting Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) economic crisis significant respect. Economies scale, quality, unit cost each D.O.factors quality-wine areas. El vitivinicola mundial esta inmerso en una profunda y sistemica dinamica de cambios. Espana, ocupa posicion privilegiada la escena global,  primera el por superficie, tercera produccion segunda volumen exportado. consumo interno, al igual que los casos Francia e Italia, ha experimentado un claro nitido retroceso ultimos anos, con lo las exportaciones se han configurado como principal salida comercial para vinos calidad mesa.
