Serum gastrin in duodenal ulcer: Part II Effect of insulin hypoglycaemia

摘要: Serum gastrin has been measured by radioimmunoassay in normal subjects and patients with proven duodenal ulcer response to insulin hypoglycaemia conjunction manoeuvres decrease the intragastric acidity. Insulin alone caused a rise serum level from 5 +/- 1.0 49 2.9 pg/ml 17 5.6 42 7.7 normals. With complete neutralization of acid same stimulus, was 1.3 128 13.6 normals 13 2.6 84 pg/ml. These studies suggest an increased production rate vagal stimulation ulcer, indicate precise role inhibition control release support concept both ;G cell' mass parietal cell ulcer. They have also offered explanation variable subjects.
