摘要: Chronic restraint stress of rats for three weeks produces an atrophy apical dendrites in the CA3 region hippocampus. This alteration is blocked by novel antidepressant, tianeptine. In order to investigate underlying mechanism these phenomena, we evaluated effect chronic and tianeptine on mRNA expression neurotrophic factors such as brain-derived factor (BDNF), neurotrophin-3 (NT-3), basic fibroblast growth (bFGF). treatment did not change neurotrophins rat We also effects GAP-43 MAP2, both which are known be related development neurons. resulted a small decrease hippocampus, was prevented concomitant administration MAP2 changed either or treatment. conclude that neurotrophins, likely directly stress-induced dendritic prevention
