摘要: The present study was aimed to fabricate a novel ultrafiltration membrane using cellulose acetate, nanochitosan, and polyethylene glycol of ratio 1:2:2 by phase inversion method. Analytical techniques such as Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffractometer (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) have been employed characterize the prepared membrane. FTIR XRD results revealed formation blended with increased amorphous nature. SEM studies exhibited rough surface numerous pores. also characterized for its performance compaction, pure water flux, content, porosity. showed that obtained flux 25.32 l/m2 h. content found be 24 % high porosity 83 % which membrane’s hydrophilicity more porous main focus toxic hexavalent chromium removal from tannery effluent hydrophilic membrane, causes various adverse effects. effect pH solution (viz., 5, 7, 9), thickness (0.1 0.2 mm), applied pressure (50 100 kPa) were studied are key factors in determining efficiency remediation effluent. percentage at 7 0.2 mm 100 kPa. physicochemical parameters reduced.
