摘要: Display Omitted A literature review of ocular modalities such as iris and periocular is presented.Information fusion approaches that combine with other are reviewed.Future research directions presented on sensing technologies, algorithms, approaches. Biometrics, an integral component Identity Science, widely used in several large-scale-county-wide projects to provide a meaningful way recognizing individuals. Among existing modalities, biometric traits iris, periocular, retina, eye movement have received significant attention the recent past. Iris recognition Unique Identification Authority India's Aadhaar Program United Arab Emirate's border security programs, whereas augment performance face or when only region present image. This paper reviews progression these modalities. The discusses algorithms limitations each information which We also propose path forward advance by (i) improving technology, (ii) heterogeneous for addressing interoperability, (iii) utilizing advanced machine learning better representation classification, (iv) developing at distance, (v) using multimodal biometrics recognition, (vi) encouraging benchmarking standards open-source software development.
