摘要: Abstract The continuous production of low molecular weight (LMW) organic acids by plants and microorganisms coupled with the presence extracellular polymeric substances (EPS) in soils is a guarantee that mobility heavy metals will be controlled. effects citrate, oxalate, EPS on adsorption Pb an acidic Ultisol were studied both as function pH ionic strength. Electrokinetic potential measurements also employed to observe what extent each ligand affected surface charge property Ultisol. All ligands shifted zeta negative direction, implying soil became more negative. effect was observed order oxalate ˃ citrate EPS. quantity adsorbed at (3.0–7.0) reflected corresponding change induced ligand. isoelectric point from 4.8 3.2 for system below 3.0 systems. More than two most outstanding mechanisms governed (1) electrostatic attraction which supported increase and, (2) complexation lesser proportion higher spectroscopic data combination + effective enhancing citrate.
