摘要: The drinking water fluoride concentration in Hong Kong was reduced by about 0.2 ppm June 1978. This study undertaken to determine whether the prevailing level of dental fluorosis affected such a minor change. Cohorts children (N = 1,062) aged seven 12 years, who were born both before and after reduction, examined clinically using Dean's index. Based on upper right central incisors, prevalence decreased from 64 47 percent community index 1.01 0.75 (P less than .01). Thus, reduced, although reduction not sufficient achieve minimal that Dean associated with optimal for caries prevention. Variation has been reported previously result marked sudden changes, during tooth formative concentration. confirms preliminary findings variation arising changes is also measurable.
