摘要: Integrated presentation of data with uncertainty is a worthy goal in scientific visualization. It allows researchers to make informed decisions based on imperfect data. also users visually compare and contrast different algorithms for performing the same task or models representing physical phenomenon. We present LISTEN-a sonification system that has been incorporated into two visualization systems: visualizing geometric surface interpolants; fluid flow. LISTEN written C++ SGI platform. works internal audio chip MIDI device both. an object-oriented modular, flexible, adaptable, portable, interactive extensible. demonstrate very effective as additional tool flow uncertainty.
