摘要: Abstract This study monitored the impact of habituation and tourism on a community chimpanzees in Kibale Forest, Uganda. From February 1992 to June 1993, chimpanzees' initial reactions contacts with human observers were recorded together other factors such as numbers present method used locate chimpanzees. On 54 occasions various (and/or tourists) present, activity rates for observed individuals. Numbers (up five) had no reaction, only significant change caused by higher 15) was an increasing vocalisation rate. As visitor satisfaction declines groups more than six eight people it is suggested that tourist viewing should be kept at maximum number 10 (including guides).
