摘要: Abstract An approach to quantify the grinding behaviour of different materials is presented. Based on a dimensional analysis and fracture mechanical considerations, two material parameters, fMat. Wm,min, are derived theoretically. characterises resistance particulate against in impact comminution. comprises effect particle size external load which quantified by specific energy. Wm,min energy can take up without fracture. Values for determine grindability given. Both considerations lead same influence initial size, mass-specific newly parameters comminution result. Experimentally, determined single-particle tests. Together with energy, they allow quantitative description breakage probability form mastercurve also be applied qualitative function. The results five polymers, limestone glass spheres sizes shown.
