摘要: Freely growing laboratory populations of prairie deermice were founded by releasing four adult males and females into enclosures containing food water in excess utilization. Growth ceased each population at markedly variable numerical levels though under similar conditions the physical environment. Control growth was achieved one two means: cessation reproduction or failure young to survive. Reproduction founding significantly more frequent than that born populations. The evidence suggests factors controlling are basically behavioral, a result intrinsic differences not directly related number animals per se. See full-text article JSTOR
