Respiratory illness in children: what makes parents decide to consult?

摘要: Parents of a stratified random sample 234 children from 21 training practices in north east England were interviewed at home. All these had been reported postal questionnaire as having cough between six and 10 weeks before the interview. Interviews covered social characteristics family, severity child's previous respiratory history. These data analysed using statistical technique logistic regression. This produced good model consulting behaviour. The showed that doctor was likely to be consulted if child severe symptoms, or affected suggests most parents deciding whether consult make careful decisions based on what they see objective criteria. No characteristic significant influence decision over above effect itself.
