Dysmenorrhea among high-school students and its associated factors in Kuwait.

摘要: Although dysmenorrhea is not a life-threatening condition, it can cause substantial burden on individuals and communities. There no data the prevalence of in Kuwait. This study aimed to estimate among female public high-school students Kuwait investigate factors associated with dysmenorrhea. A cross-sectional using multistage cluster sampling probability proportional size method was conducted 763 twelfth grade (aged 16–21 years). Age menarche (p-value = 0.005), regularity flow period (p-value = 0.025, p-value = 0.009; respectively), drinking coffee (p-value = 0.004) significantly multivariable analysis. Dysmenorrhea seems highly prevalent Kuwait, resembling that high-income countries. Because scale problem, utilizing nurses reassure manage primary referring suspected cases secondary recommended.
