摘要: Accelerated long-term forgetting (ALF) is a particular form of amnesia mostly encountered in focal epilepsy, particularly temporal lobe epilepsy. This type memory loss characterized by an impairment consolidation declarative memory, and its mechanisms remain poorly understood. In particular, the respective contribution lesion, seizures, interictal epileptic discharges, sleep still debated. Here, we provide overview relationships intertwining sleep, and, based on recent findings from intracranial electroencephalographic recordings, propose model ALF pathophysiology that integrates differential role spikes during wakefulness sleep. provides framework to account for different timescales at which may occur.
