摘要: The electrochemical, selective determination of catechol (CT) in the presence hydroquinone (HQ) is not readily achieved, because formal potentials two phenolic compounds are very close. Here, we have developed a simple electrochemical method for CT by using bare indium tin oxide electrodes and employing redox cycling hydrazine. cyclic voltammetry HQ was investigated Tris buffer (pH 9.0), phosphate buffered saline (pH 7.4), acetate (pH 4.5). Especially buffer, anodic peak potential much lower than that HQ, resulting large difference between (ca. 0.4 V). allows excess HQ. current amplified hydrazine, which also helps to stabilize several hours. detection limits containing 0.1 mM 1 μM 10 μM absence respectively.
