摘要: Abstract We have demonstrated that a fluorescence emission centered at ∼810 nm responsible for Tm 3+ : 3 H 4 → 6 transition is effectively captured via re-absorption by an absorption corresponding to Dy 15/2 F 7/2 in tellurite glasses. It known Tm3+-doped fiber amplifiers operating the 1450 band suffer from amplified spontaneous (ASE) around 810 nm. Therefore, our experimental results imply Dy3+-doped layer introduced vicinity of optical fiber, as representative example, can efficiently absorb thulium and consequently reduce ASE power.
