摘要: A carbon fiber reinforced composite coil spring is provided which made from a braid formed of fibers oriented at preferred angle to the axis approximately plus or minus 45° and impregnated with resin serves as substantially continuous matrix phase. Longitudinal reinforcing may be incorporated into prevent it straightening under longitudinal tension. The by wrapping braid, non-solidified resin, within groove extends helically along surface helical mandrel solidifying resinous material, then removing solid mandrel.
