摘要: Abstract We introduce and discuss an automated, analytical method for determination of shear-wave splitting. To determine the polarization direction first-arriving shear wave (fast wave), we evaluate linearity particle motion waves by maximizing as a function azimuth aspect ratio, i.e., ratio projections displacement on orthogonal axes in horizontal plane. In time window that contains only first arrival, at which maximum occurs is taken fast wave. Then separation between split determined time-shifting component with slow arrival toward until observed. The can be accurately predicted seismograms having good signal-to-noise ratios, are typical local earthquake recordings. Similar procedures used to vertical plane interval including examine apparent incident angle order reveal likelihood interfering S-P conversions.
