摘要: One-hundred and seventy patients (124 augmentations 46 reconstructions) were followed for 8 post-operative years. Ninety received the "standard" smooth silicone mammary prosthesis, 80 a polyurethane-covered prosthesis. The longest follow-up was 4 years shortest 1 year, with average just over 2 Six types of complications registered, three attributed to implant design (wrinkles, draping, capsules) operator or surgery (infection, hematoma, extrusion). Firm capsule formation considered complication only if another intervention (reoperation, closed capsulotomy, etc.) recommended by surgeon requested patient. Ninety-six percent polyurethane prostheses had satisfactory (grade II) better than IA IB) result, whereas 72 standard silicone-gel prosthesis achieved result. Technical details use are given, as well inherent implant.
