摘要: Elevated estradiol levels are correlated with male infertility. Causes of hyperestrogenism include diseases the adrenal cortex, testis or medications affecting hypothalamus-pituitary-gonadal axis. The aim our study was to elucidate effects treatment on testicular cellular morphology and function, reference regimen received. Testes samples (n = 9) were obtained post-orchiectomy from male-to-female transsexuals within age range 26–52 years. Each patient had a minimum 1–6 years treatment. For comparison, additional microscopically unaltered tissue surrounding tumors (n = 7). tissues investigated by stereomicroscopy, histochemistry, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) immunohistochemistry. Our studies revealed that significantly decreased diameter seminiferous tubules (p < 0.05) induced fatty degeneration in connective tissue. An increase collagen fiber synthesis extracellular matrix (ECM) also induced. Spermatogenesis impaired resulting mainly spermatogonia being present. Sertoli cells diminished expression estrogen receptor alpha (ERα). Both Leydig showed morphological alterations glycoprotein accumulations. These results demonstrate increased drastically impact human testis.
