摘要: The expression of human UDP-glucuronosyltransferase (UGT) 1 gene family in the liver and kidney was examined using specific enzyme activity, antibodies DNA probes for each four members. Phenol UGT HP1 expressed at a similar, relatively low, abundance whereas phenol HP4 more highly kidney. Bilirubin UGTs (HP2 HP3) were not detectable HP3 major isoform liver. activities towards certain substrates correlated well with respective mRNA levels tissues. induced 2-3-fold livers from patients treated phenytoin phenobarbital. Storage University Wisconsin solution which contains dexamethasone insulin caused large accumulation all mRNAs, but these quantitatively translated into activities. implications results are discussed.
