摘要: Subacute ruminal acidosis (SARA) is characterized by pH depression and microbial perturbation. The impact of SARA adaptation recovery on rumen bacterial density diversity was investigated following high-grain feeding. Four ruminally cannulated dairy cows were fed a hay diet, transitioned to 65% grain diet for 3 weeks, returned the weeks. Rumen fluid, solids, feces sampled during weeks 0 (hay), 1 (high grain), 4 6 (hay). diagnosed week 1, with below 5.6 4.6±1.4 h. Bacterial significantly lower in solids high (P=0.047). fluid clone libraries from 0, 3, assessed at 98% level 154 operational taxonomic units resolved. Week differed community structure (P<0.0001). Clones belonging phylum Firmicutes predominated. Compared contained clones Selenomonas ruminantium Succiniclasticum ruminis, but lacked Eubacterium spp. found alter density, diversity, structure, warranting further investigation into role bacteria play adaptation.
