Study on interfaces and microstructural defects in Ag-clad (Bi,Pb)2Sr2Ca2Cu3O10+y tapes

摘要: The interfaces and microstructural defects in the broad face longitudinal cross-sectional specimens of Ag-sheathed (Bi,Pb)2Sr2Ca2Cu3O10+y (2223) tapes have been studied by TEM. Most Of twist boundaries colonies a small rotation angle, accommodated screw dislocation network. are normally atomically flat without second phase. colony mixed type with misorientation angle up to 30 degrees . A thin amorphous layer is commonly formed at adjacent basal planes on both sides boundary. c-direction mixed-type ones, phases were sometimes observed these boundaries. Tilt boundaries, consisting wall edge dislocations, clean lattices from boundary well matched. At triple junction, often found. Around large isolated particle phase, found be randomly orientated seriously distorted. (001) bend interruption observed. systematic study correlation between Jc, 2212 fraction numerous shows that higher Jc always contain certain while very low did not show high Jc. These results seem indicate predominant weak links tape layers regime. assumed controlled fields.
