摘要: _____________________________________________________________ Educational change in most South African public schools resulted irregular school attendance by learners; poor performing schools; disputed authority relations between principals, teachers, learners and parents; low morale; general demotivation; conflicts violence around the school. A negative culture results academic achievement a high number of disciplinary problems that can result malfunctioning Schools exhibit experience are unmotivated, unwilling to learn who demonstrate disruptive behaviour. The study was directed following research question: How does impact on functioning township primary school? attitudes, perceptions beliefs principal, parents towards were explored through interviews with principal four grade 7 focus group discussion parents, class observations one learners' drawings culture. transcriptions analysed using qualitative content analysis. findings suggest seem be victims scenario this particular school, while all other stakeholders blame each doing so, add culture, rather than trying improve some or way.
