摘要: We propose the concept of Cognitive Debt to characterize thoughts and behaviors that increase vulnerability symptomatic Alzheimer's disease (AD). Evidence indicates depression, anxiety, sleep disorder, neuroticism, life stress, post-traumatic stress disorder risk for AD, we suggest they do so by increasing Debt. Repetitive negative thinking (RNT), a behaviorally measurable process common these factors, may drive acquisition. RNT transcends disorder-specific definition, encompasses rumination worry, is defined perseverative, thought tendencies. dysregulated responses supports Debt, as its causal mechanism, an interaction with APOE-e4 genotype clinical independent from traditional AD pathology. Defining more specific behavioral profile would enable interventions be targeted earlier precisely at individuals most vulnerable developing AD. Additionally, modulating could potentially reduce Interventions are discussed, suggestions future research. For reasons submit model aid understanding psychological mechanisms predisposition
