摘要: RNAdb is a comprehensive database of mammalian non-protein-coding RNAs (ncRNAs). There increasing recognition that ncRNAs play important regulatory roles in multicellular organisms, and there an expanding rate discovery novel as well allocation function. In this update to RNAdb, we provide nucleotide sequences annotations for tens thousands non-housekeeping ncRNAs, including wide range microRNAs, small nucleolar larger mRNA-like ncRNAs. Some these have documented functions and/or expression patterns, but the majority remain unclear significance, include PIWI-interacting RNAs, identified from latest rounds large-scale cDNA sequencing projects, putative antisense transcripts, predicted on basis structural features alignments. Improvements comprise not only new updated ncRNA datasets, also provision microarray-based data closer interface with more specialized resources such miRBase snoRNA-LBME-db.
