摘要: Agglutination of particles is a major process involved in microbial dome formation. Early lithification by biogenic precipitation or early cementation also essential for accretion and preservation. Although it possible agglutinated grains to be siliciclastic, reports siliciclastic domes are scarce. mats seems have taken place only rarely settings with terrigenous influx marine environments. The few recorded examples stromatolites thrombolites occur, however, wide range sedimentary environments, from coastal lakes relatively deep subtidal settings, the Cambrian late Cenozoic.
