摘要: The adsorption of pure methane and ethane in BPL activated carbon has been measured at temperatures between 264 373 K pressures up to 3.3 MPa with a bench-scale high-pressure open-flow apparatus. same apparatus was used measure the binary methane/ethane mixtures 301.4 2.6 MPa. Thermodynamic consistency tests demonstrate that data are thermodynamically consistent. In contrast two sets previously published, we found behaves ideally (in sense obeying ideal adsorbed solution theory, IAST) throughout pressure gas-phase composition range studied. A Tian-Calvet type microcalorimeter low-pressure isotherms, isosteric heats carbon, individual mixtures, 297 100 kPa. mixture were consistent IAST.
