摘要: Character displacement is phenotypic divergence driven by competition (ecological character displacement) or reproductive interference (reproductive displacement). Although previous studies have examined these phenomena separately, recent evidence suggests that can drive both and ecological displacement, in certain traits are related to reproduction. Thus, evaluate the effect of competition, must be excluded. Here, we analysed between non-congeneric frogs, which show little interference. Odorrana amamiensis inhabits Amami Tokunoshima Islands, Japan, whereas its competitor Babina subaspera Island. We tested three Schluter (2000) criteria for displacement: changes O. two islands, change prey preference, availability islands. demonstrated were likely satisfied, indicating occurrence non-congeners without conclude potentially main driver this divergence, may a suitable model evaluating variety organisms, as influence
