摘要: Governments are now very aware of the importance technological development for business and economic growth, this has led to efforts stimulate investment by organisations in research (R&D). There two main policy approaches achieving this: (1) direct procurement and/or provision public facilities (2) incentives private such as tax or R&D subsidies. In chapter, focus is on second these approaches, R&D, specifically examining investments through lens human resource management (HRM) practices. A HRM warranted, given that dominated capital equipment knowledge workers with longer-term organisational benefits most commonly achieved employees behaviours acquired publicly supported sustained post-funding period. However, raises important issues where government sector businesses universities. To what extent there similarities differences profile practices university centres? What implications subsidies?
