摘要: A unique sintering method of developing a controlled porosity, thickness, metal layer on substrate is disclosed. The region to be coated cleaned, suitable adhesive applied and appropriate powder poured on. Additional layers can give desired thickness. Pore size determined by the shape particles degree selected. Controlled carried out at temperature near melting point in hydrogen atmosphere permanently attach substrate. only sufficient bond while avoiding over-sintering which would close porosity. No foreign material left, being burned off during sintering. porous surface thus produced provides secure anchorage for ingrowth body tissue prosthetic device such as heart valve or bone implant.
