摘要: Abstract A highly repeated DNA was isolated from the West African baboon (Papio papio) as a 343-base-pair fragment after digestion of total with restriction endonuclease BamHI. The sequence this obtained by chemical cleavage methods and is compared related primate DNAs green monkey (Cercopithecus aethiops) man. repeat consists two but nonidentical wings 172 171 base pairs, respectively. 172-base-pair wing shares more homology than 171-base-pair wing. Comparison previously published human sequences indicates that: (i) All apparently arose common ancestral sequence. (ii) Evolution can be explained model involving unequal crossovers at specific points within DNA, possibly mediated 5'-AAGG-3' 3'-TTCC-5' or its invert 5'-GGAA-3' 3'-CCTT-5'. (iii) There are alternating domains conserved divergent each greater 170-base-pair Taken together, these primates suggest whereby established evolve consequence nonrandom exchanges duplexes. These may short nucleotide involve between wings.
