摘要: Abstract α-FeOOH nanorods (NRs) with diameters varying from 12 nm to 25 nm were prepared by colloid chemistry method, and their third-order nonlinear susceptibilities (χ(3)) investigated Z-scan technique. Both the real part imaginary of χ(3) increase increasing NRs’ size in near resonant transparency region. NRs diameter can reach 7.7 × 10−11 esu region, which is almost 16 times that corresponding bulk. The quantum confinement effect local field make dominant contribution enhancement.
