摘要: The chloragogenous tissue and the intestinal epithelium of adult earthworms, Lumbricus terrestris, sampled from sites with without volcanic activity in Azores were submitted to hematoxylin/eosin staining, autometallography TUNEL-test order quantify radial thickness both tissues, their relative abundance metals apoptosis levels. Metals visualized, through light microscopy, as black silver deposits (BSD) mostly tissue. lowest values tissues found active sites, well highest BSD extent tissue, semi-quantified by stereology, exhibited a positive correlation levels negative one tissues. Thus, variation but especially which could reflect different cellular turnover rates caused exposure metals, is suggested biomarker effect for metal terrestrial worms inhabiting environments.
