摘要: Polychlorinated diphenyl ethers (PCDEs), 2,3,7,8-substituted polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDDs) and dibenzofurans (PCDFs), biphenyls (PCBs) were analyzed in seals from the Gulf of Finland sediments near Gotland. The included one surface core both sampling sites. seal material consisted 14 ringed 6 grey that all found dead examined for pathology. main aims to scrutinize levels patterns PCDEs first time Baltic Sea estimate whether chlorinated compounds mentioned have an influence on exceptional high mortality occurred among late 1991. concentrations 50 congeners tetra- through deca-CDEs ranged < 0.3 62 ng/g lipid weight (lw) blubber, but non-detectable (tetra- hepta-CDEs 0.1 dry (dw)). In with good nutritional status, almost PCDE greater two adult females than specimens younger age groups. PCDDs PCDFs as TCDD-equivalents exceeded those coplanar (non-ortho) PCBs sediments, whereas non- monoortho constituted toxic loads calculated seals. However, revealed do not explain
