摘要: Multi-view video coding (MVC) uses various prediction modes and exhaustive mode decision to achieve high efficiency. However, the introduced heavy computational complexity becomes bottleneck of practical application MVC. For this, an efficient early Direct for MVC is proposed in this paper. Based on observation that highly possible be optimal mode, method first computes rate distortion (RD) cost compares RD value with adaptive threshold providing termination chance as follows. If smaller than threshold, will selected checking process remaining skipped; otherwise, all checked select one minimum mode. Note above-mentioned determined median a set thresholds, which are derived by using spatial, temporal inter-view correlations between current macroblock (MB) its neighboring MBs, respectively. Experimental results have demonstrated able significantly reduce negligible loss efficiency, compared
