摘要: Purpose To assess the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) value and tensor image (DTI) including fractional anisotropy (FA) of noncancerous prostate cancer before after carbon-ion radiotherapy (CIRT). Materials Methods Nine patients with biopsy-proven underwent 1.5T magnetic resonance (MR) examinations. One patient benign prostatic hypertrophy one healthy volunteer were also examined as references. The changes in ADC values DTI entire calculated from b-values 0 700 (s/mm2) estimated between CIRT. Results ADC significantly increased CIRT by paired t-test (P < 0.01) but those inner gland (IG) peripheral zone (PZ) showed no significant change. By analysis variance, differences observed among IG PZ 0.05). After CIRT, had disappeared. FAs any comparisons. direction main axis CIRT. Conclusion There CIRT. They may be useful for monitoring structural under radiotherapy. J. Magn. Reson. Imaging 2008;27:1331–1335. © 2008 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
