摘要: Objective The relationship between athletic participation and eating problems is examined using meta-analysis. Both the risk protective elements of are considered. Method Data from 34 studies were used to examine overall problems. Relationships for specific sports, elite athletes, various age groups also examined. Results Athletes appeared be somewhat more at than nonathletes. This was especially true dancers. Significant effects did not emerge gymnasts. Elite those in sports emphasizing thinness, risk.
