摘要: The influence of salt adaptation on specific adenylate cyclase activity (measured by conversion (..cap alpha..-/sup 32/P) - ATP into cAMP) was investigated in gill plasma membranes rainbow trout (Salmo gairdneri) adapted to various salinities (deionized water, DW; fresh FW; 3/4 sea SW; SW) and water adapted- mullet (Mugil sp.). Basal declined a factor 2 with increasing external salinity (pmoles cAMP/mg protein/10 min: 530 DW, 440 FW, 340 250 very low SW adapted-mullet: 35. Km for similar (0.5 mM) both FW either the absence (basal activity) or presence stimulating agents (isoproterenol; NaF) while Vm varied. Analysis stimulation ratios respect basal levels enzyme showed that hormones pharmacological substances (isoproterenol, display greater potency high than fish gills. In contrast, did not have any effect regulation PGE/sub 1/. These results are interpreted relation general process osmoregulation.more » 27 references, 6 figures.« less
