摘要: The intensity and severity of perceived pain does not correlate consistently with the degree peripheral or central nervous system tissue damage primary afferent spinal nociceptive neurone activity. In this respect, modulation by emotion context is now widely recognized. particular, stress, fear anxiety exert potent, but complex, modulatory influences on pain. Stress can either suppress (stress-induced analgesia) exacerbate it hyperalgesia; SIH) depending nature, duration stressor. Herein, we review methods models used to study phenomenon SIH in rodents humans then present a detailed discussion our current understanding neural substrates neurobiological mechanisms. provides perspectives challenges for future treatment co-morbidity stress-related psychiatric disorders including depression.
