摘要: Abstract The vast deposits of Nigerian bentonite clay have many significant uses in different aspects industrial fields which the oil and gas industry is a potential consumer this mineral. In review article, key mineralogical characteristics rheological properties these various locations their related application for drilling mud formulation were comprehensively reviewed. Various research efforts on over past couple years summarized with some critical comments analysis. Attention was given to reserve estimates, mineralogy deposits, chemical modification clays, formulated from clays its suitability operations. Moreover, future prospects problems be solved regarding use discussed. This shed new light both fundamental practical studies that are concentrated formulation.
