摘要: It was the purpose of this investigation to study suitability a controlled release delivery system for endodontic medicaments, making it possible maintain constant concen- tration medicament in root canal an extended period time. 1 he systetn eomprised inner core matrix containing surrounded l)y polymeric membrane allowing active ingredient. Controlled preparations formocresol, cam- phorated paramonochlorphenol, Cresatin, and quaternary ammonium compound (clodecyl-dimethyl-benzylammonium ehloride) were manufactured applied canals dogs' teeth. In control experiments same medicaments ap- plied by means cotton pellets. After 1, 3, 7 45 days pieces materials pellets removed from tested antibacterial effect. d none on eotton had efiect. Of prep- arations, ((uaternary fairly con- stant effect bacterial growth duration experiment (45 d). The results suggested that idea improving endodontie deliv- ery systems is valid, may gain clinical importance future.
