摘要: We analyze the optics of sunlight collection in hollow glass microbead attached TiO{sub 2} particles floating on oil slicks, photoassisting their dissolution. This technology uses microbeads that float slick. The are partially coated with a layers 3.0-3.3-eV bandgap 2}, known catalyst for photoassisted oxidation organics. fraction UV solar irradiance ({lambda} = 360 nm) directly and indirectly exciting photocatalyst is calculated. It shown collects most sunlight, channeling it to particles. Therefore, 30-40% coverage optimal photodissolving slicks. Here, floating, analyzed. 14 refs., 12 figs.
