Prenatal care : reaching mothers, reaching infants

摘要: Prenatal care programs have proven effective in improving birth outcomes and preventing low birthweight. Yet over one-fourth of all pregnant women the United States do not begin prenatal first 3 months pregnancy, for some groups--such as black teenagers--participation is declining. To find out why, authors studied 30 analyzed surveys mothers who did seek care. This new book reports their findings offers specific recommendations nation's maternity system increasing use programs.
