摘要: This paper presents a methodology for evaluating text editors on several dimensions: the time it takes experts to perform basic editing tasks, spend making and correcting errors, rate at which novices learn functionality of over more complex tasks. Time, learning are measured experimentally; is analytically; also calculated analytically. The has thus far been used evaluate nine diverse editors, producing an initial database performance results. tell us not only about but users—the magnitude individual differences factors affecting novice learning.
